1. Who is responsible for your data?
WinnaHub – The Home of Winnas is the controller for personal data processed through this competition website. Privacy enquiries: hello@winnahub.co.uk.
2. Personal data we may collect
We may collect account details (name, username, email, telephone and password hash), order and payment-reference information, competition and ticket records, free-entry submissions, winner/claim information, support messages, wallet/credit records, consent/preferences, IP/device/security logs and technical information generated when you use the service.
3. How we obtain it
Most information comes directly from you when you register, enter, pay, contact support or submit a free entry. We also create transactional and audit records as the service operates, and may receive payment status or fraud/security information from service providers.
4. Why we use personal data and lawful bases
Depending on the activity, processing may be necessary to perform a contract with you (accounts, orders, entries and prize fulfilment), comply with legal obligations (accounting and lawful requests), or pursue legitimate interests such as platform security, fraud prevention, customer support, defending claims and maintaining auditable competition records. Where consent is the appropriate basis, such as certain optional marketing or non-essential cookies, consent can be withdrawn.
5. Payments
Payment providers process payment data needed to authorise and settle transactions. This site should not store full payment-card numbers or security codes. Payment providers act under their own terms/privacy information for the data they process.
6. Who we share data with
We may share the minimum necessary information with hosting/infrastructure suppliers, payment providers, email/support services, professional advisers, prize suppliers/couriers and authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data. The operator must keep this policy updated with the processors it actually uses.
7. Winner information
Prize promotions may require publication or provision of limited winner information under applicable promotion rules. We aim to minimise public data, for example by displaying a first name and surname initial where appropriate. Additional publicity should be based on a proper legal basis and any required consent.
8. International transfers
If a supplier processes personal data outside the UK, the operator must ensure an appropriate transfer mechanism and safeguards are in place where required by UK data-protection law.
9. Retention
We keep records only for as long as needed for competition administration, accounting, fraud prevention, legal claims and regulatory/audit purposes. Different records may have different retention periods. Account deletion does not necessarily erase transaction or draw records that must legitimately be retained.
10. Security
We use measures intended to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss, including access controls, password hashing, session protections and restricted administration. No internet service can promise absolute security.
11. Your rights
Subject to UK data-protection law and applicable exemptions, you may have rights to be informed, access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, object to certain processing, receive certain data in a portable form and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
12. Cookies
We use essential cookies/session storage needed for login, basket, security and core website operation. Non-essential analytics, advertising or similar technologies should not be set until the required consent has been obtained. See our Cookie Policy.
13. Children
The service is intended only for people who meet the published minimum entry age (normally 18+). We do not knowingly invite children to enter paid promotions.
